Bellefontaine Cemetery

Bellefontaine Cemetery has been around for 160 years. Located north of the city, this 19th century cemetery was established at the height of cemetery transformation in the United States. Before the 1800s, people were mostly buried on church grounds or on family property. This cemetery became a staple in the middle of America and is a burial ground for some of the country’s most famous figures including:

St. Peter’s Cemetery

Much like Bellefontaine Cemetery, St. Peter’s is one of the longest running cemeteries in the area. Around for over 170 years, this burial ground houses both past church members and community members. This cemetery sits on over 30 acres of land and offers many different burial and cremation remain services:

Calvary Cemetery

Calvary Cemetery is a Roman Catholic cemetery founded in 1854. It currently sits on over 470 acres of land in St Louis, making it the 2nd biggest in the archdiocese and one of the biggest in the country. This cemetery currently holds over 300,000 bodies. Many of whom are very famous and well-known historical figures:
