Rhonda Lynn Dubose June 15, 1976 February 22, 2022
Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister, and Licensed Practical Nurse, Rhonda
Dubose’s(Russell) love for life didn’t come to an end when she left this earth.
Rhonda passed away February 22, 2022 at the age of 45 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Rhonda never took the battle lying down, she did everything she possibly could to stay with us until God called her home. Rhonda was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Rhonda completed her nursing program at Beck School of Practical Nursing in Red Bud, IL. Rhonda lived to be a proud Nurse and loved the patients that she cared for. Through the years, Rhonda touched many lives with her passion for healing.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Rhonda. She loved spending evenings with friends around campfires. Most would say a quiet evening, but all who knew Rhonda, knew that she was far from quiet. Rhonda couldn’t sit still and loved to travel. Rhonda didn’t care where she was going, as long as she was going somewhere. From short car rides to plane rides destined for the beach; Rhonda’s happy place was with family and her toes in the sand. Rhonda also loved fishing for catfish, shopping, and her many animals.
Rhonda is survived by her husband Doug; three sons, Kevin (Krystle), Wayne, Shelton; her Father Bill, Mother Helen; Mother in Law Sherry; two brothers, Randy and Billy (Kim), and nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Rhonda was preceded in death by Grandpa and Grandma Patterson, her Father in Law Douglas.

I am so sorry I wasn’t able to be there in your last days. I have sooo many warm memories of our time together. Through nursing school, wouldn’t of made it without her. She was my rock! My alarm clock. That kick in the arse we all need sometimes. She was mine !! We fought we argued we PLAYED HARD!!! She was a beautiful soul with a big mouth,& even a bigger heart! My heartfelt prayers for all the family. May she be gloriously brand new in her creators arms. And far away from this cruel world. And Now she has become a new bold ANGEL for all those she loved dearly!! Rest in peace My bold brave friend! Love you! Until we see each other Again!
I’m so sorry for your loss. She’s in her father’s home now
