Maurice F. Morris, 54, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on the evening of June 13th, 2023, in Du Quoin, Illinois due to an unfortunate heart condition.  Maurice, also known as “Buck” to his momma or “Reese” to his nearest and dearest family and friends.  Maurice F. Morris was born on September 2nd, 1968 in St. Louis, Missouri, with parents Marzine Morris, Sr. and Florence Brown. In 1977, his family moved to Van Alstyne, Texas, where he was in the graduating class of 1987. Being on the football field was his favorite high school memory. Maurice was also the biggest Dallas Cowboys fan, every
year was his “boys year” if you asked him. This man had many admirable attributes, but his work ethic was top tier, he would do whatever it took to provide for his family. He had a strong love for driving a Big Truck. Being a granddad brought him such joy, his eyes would light up and his smile would grow bigger with the mention of his granddaughter.  Reese is survived by his mother, Florence Brown. As well as his eldest daughter Tori Sharkey, her husband Taylor Sharkey and his pride and joy granddaughter Landry Sharkey. His baby sister, Brandi Mansco, her husband Richard Mansco, and his nephews Richard and Kaleb Mansco. His fiance Candace Walker and daughter Madeline Walker.  Reese preceded in death by his father Marzine Morris, Sr. and brother Marzine Morris, Jr.

Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. The service will be held at
Daystar Church in Florissant, Missouri.
