Marie Ann Bonus

Marie Ann Bonus         June 30, 1926                April 22, 2023

Bonus, Marie (nee Perakovich) fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church Saturday, April 22. Born June 30, 1926, in Mount Olive, Illinois.

Dear wife of the late Leo Bonus and loving mother of Constance (Stephen) Burgess and Kimberly Kitson (Steven Farmer) of St. Louis. Adoring grandmother of Douglas (Kathryn), Patrick (Kerrie) and Christopher (Karla) Burgess and Andrew (Ashley) Kitson and great-grandmother to Jordan, Hailey, Madelyn, Emerson, Harrison, MacArthur and Baby K. Preceded in death by her parents, brother, sister and extensive network of loving, laughing friends she now joins in Eternal Life.

Marie was a devout member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with a tender heart toward every dog she ever met. She was a devoted switchboard operator and clerical assistant during her working years, using her attention to detail and high standards to elevate each workplace. She had an eye for style and fashion from an early age and nothing made her happier than a full day of shopping with lunch at a favorite tea room to recharge and power through. Put her in a mall and her energy knew no bounds.

A proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Marie drew great joy from her family’s accomplishments large and small. She will be deeply missed and long remembered. “Love you more.”

Private family memorial only. If you would like to honor her memory, donations to St. John the Baptist Church, 4200 Delor St., 63116, or Humane Society of Missouri, 1201 Macklind Ave., 63110, are sincerely appreciated.
