Diana Lee Davis

Diana Lee Davis    June 30, 1943    September 15, 2021

Our beloved mother, Diana Lee Davis (Angelo), passed away on September 15, 2021 due to natural causes in St. Louis, Missouri.  Diana was born and raised in Macon, Missouri to John and Leona Angelo along with her siblings Don, David, and Elaine.  She attended Macon High School and began her college education at North East Missouri State College but put her academic pursuits on hold to marry and raise her 3 daughters. After her girls grew up, she completed her Bachelors degree in Fine Arts and her Masters degree in Creative Writing.  Her love of education carried over to her career as the Assistant Director of Admissions for the University of Missouri-St. Louis, also her alma mater.  Diana was a nationally published writer, with a range that stretched across poems, contemporary magazine articles, and contributions to popular books such as Cup of Comfort.  Her talent earned her multiple Bronz Quill Awards.  She also loved to play the piano and was a fierce card game player, Canasta being her favorite.  She was kind, generous, and loving and will be deeply missed by her family and community.  She is survived by her brother Don Angelo, her sister Elaine Beeler, and her daughter’s and their families:  Debbie, Patrick, Emmett, Maddie & Kyle (Klinghammer and Dorney); Crissy, Gregg, Lily, Sophia, and Ava (Kuhlmann); and Sandy, Tony, Estrella & Anica (Coble).  Please join us for a memorial service on October 9, 2021 at 10:00am.  It will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Good Sheppard, 7380 Howdershell Road, Hazelwood, Missouri, 63042.
